I wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kathy Donnelly, our Lady Captain for 2012 who, in spite of all the challenging weather conditions held her head up high and led the ladies section through a successful and most enjoyable year. As we enter into 2013 praying for some sunshine and drier weather, I wish to express my gratitude for the privilege of being appointed as Lady Captain at Belton Woods Golf Club for 2013. I take on this role with great enthusiasm, some trepidation but total commitment in ensuring 2013 brings enjoyable golf to all. Once again we have a full fixture list with some new ladies and mixed friendly competitions both at home and away. I welcome as many of you as possible to take part regardless of your handicap. I have worked in the Emergency Care setting for the last 18 years and have seen many changes within the provision of healthcare services. It is for this reason I have chosen LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Services) as my Charity for 2013. These volunteers are valuable health care providers to our local rural community and need our support. I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation for the hard work and dedication to those ladies retiring from the committee and offer a warm welcome to the new committee members joining us this year.
